Medical Grade Chemical Peel
A Medical Grade Chemical Peel is a cosmetic treatment used to resurface and improve the appearance of the skin using a special, chemical solution.
About Medical Grade Chemical Peel
You do not need to have problem areas of the skin to have a chemical peel done, in many cases it is used as a preventative treatment.
Yes, it is completely safe and is used to treat hyperpigmentation, textured skin, discolouration, and acne scarring. This process stimulates collagen and increases cellular turnover to reveal new, fresh skin.
Chemical peels can be used to treat fine lines on the face, remove wrinkles and spots caused by sun damage, reduce age spots, freckles, and dark patches, improve the appearance of mild scars, treat certain types of acne and improve the look and feel of the skin.
A chemical solution is applied to the skin, which makes it peel off to reveal smoother and less textured skin. After a chemical peel treatment, the skin is more sensitive to the sun, so be sure to wear sunscreen every day.
The aftercare of your skin is incredibly important after your chemical peel treatment. Follow your practitioner’s directions for sun protection, cleansing, moisturising, and applying protective ointments to your skin after the treatment.
Avoid picking, rubbing, or scratching your skin.
The stronger peel, the skin starts to peel 48 hours later. Then, the skin can shed anywhere from three to five days after treatment. Redness may last a few weeks.
As with any injection procedure, patients may experience temporary redness, irritation and swelling. These side-effects are relatively mild and do not occur often. In rare cases the side-effects may include:
- Skin discolouration
Our Medical Grade Chemical Peels
Our selection of chemical peels ranges in strength from mildly superficial to deeply resurfacing.
We provide a wide array of treatment options depending on what your skin needs and how sensitive your skin is.
An Enzyme Peel is classified as a gentle and effective solution to cell regeneration. Enzymes serve to speed up natural skin renewal, helping to improve skin texture. The treatment lightly buffs off dead skin cells, creating the perfect PH balance for your skin.
A Glycolic Peel is a gentle chemical treatment for light skin exfoliation. The glycolic acid dissolves excess sebum and dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter, and younger-looking skin. Suitable for all skin types.
A salicylic peel is a light treatment that unplugs dead skin cells and built-up oils that can cause acne and blemishes. It is also a highly effective solution for reducing fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Because of its beneficial effects, salicylic acid is often used to treat skin concerns like acne, sunspots, melasma and freckles.
TCA Peels are classified as deep chemical treatments that cause the top layer of cells to dry up and peel off, exposing a new layer of undamaged skin, which has a smoother texture and a more even colour. It is highly effective in treating skin discolouration, scarring, and wrinkles. This treatment is not recommended for dark, fine, or sensitive skin.
